The Fondo Italiano di Investimento enters the capital of EMARC

The Fondo Italiano di Investimento today signed the contract aimed at entering the share capital of EMARC SpA, an industrial group based in Vinovo (To), for years at the top both in the production of structural components for motor vehicles and in the design and construction of means of production. The operation will allow the FII to acquire a minority stake in the company through an investment of 10 million euros.

EMARC SpA, founded in 1978 by Pietro Passone, offers its customers, as Tier 1, a wide product portfolio both in steel and in aluminium, supplying doors, hatches, sliding door systems, modules for structural assemblies and structural body parts for both car, and for commercial vehicles. Today, the group employs around 670 people, with 13 production plants strategically located near the main customers in Europe, South America, China and India, for a turnover of 139 million Euros (of which just under 70% is generated abroad ).

The industrial plan of the group envisages a growth that passes through (i) the creation of production joint ventures in countries where a rapid development of the productions involving the group is expected, (ii) the strengthening of the current production sites or the development of new ones, (iii) the expansion of the range of products offered, (iv) the consolidation of the commercial network, as well as (v) the purchase of some synergistic companies for know-how and production technologies.

The intervention of the Fondo Italiano di Investimento is aimed at supporting the Group in its growth path, both internally and externally, in order to further differentiate the product range and customers, consolidating its presence in the reference markets.

Pietro Passone, President of EMARC, said: “This operation represents a significant step for EMARC's future. The entry of a qualified financial partner such as FII will allow to accelerate the development and internationalization program. In an increasingly selective competitive context such as the automotive sector, EMARC will be able to count on new energies to support our projects and on a new partner with whom to share an ambitious industrial plan."
