The Innovation and Development Fund, managed by Fondo Italiano d'Investimento SGR (43% Cdp) has completed the entry into the share capital of Marval, a company founded in 1950 by the Marchiando family, active in the sector of precision machining for engines cars and for engines of machines used in construction and earthmoving (the so-called "heavy duty"). Hat Orizzonte SGR, the Hat Group's asset management company chaired by Nino Attanasio and led by Ignazio Castiglioni, also entered into the operation, with a commitment of 10 million. Together, the two financial partners should thus acquire 69,5% of the company.
Marval has a turnover of approximately 75 million, employs 477 people in four plants, of which two in the province of Turin, one in China, through its 100% subsidiary Xi Mai, and one in the United Kingdom, acquired in 2018.
Through this operation, the Innovazione e Sviluppo fund acquires a majority stake, taking over from the previous financial partners - the private equity fund Mandarin Capital Partners. The Marchiando family will retain a minority stake.
