IBM Italy: Cereda new CEO, Ciniero remains president

Nicola Ciniero remains president while Enrico Cereda becomes managing director: these are the changes decided on Friday in Milan by the corporate bodies of IBM Italy.

Ciniero has led the company since May 2009. In recent years he has also promoted significant investments in the country, the latest of which was the Cloud data center established in June in the Milan area.

Cereda, 49, was instead appointed managing director after more than two years in the role of general manager of Global Technology Services, a business unit dedicated to the sales and supply of all technological infrastructure services.

Previously, Cereda had been at the top of the Systems and Technology Group division of IBM Italy which manages the hardware market. In the company for almost twenty years, the new managing director therefore brings a strong knowledge of the Italian market as a dowry.

The experience gained in international contexts is also significant, first in New York as assistant to the Senior Vice President Software Group and then in Madrid as director for Europe of the Middleware segment.
