Digital payments continue to grow: +13,9% in July

The new section starts this month created by the CartaSi Purchasing Observatory for FIRSTonline: every month it will provide an update on the trend of digital payments in our country, reporting the percentage change compared to the same month of the previous year, in addition to that of the last 12 months, i.e. in this case July 2017 compared to July 2016, and July '16-July '17 versus July '15-July '16.

In July of this year digital payments are grew by 13,9% compared to July last year, while in the 12 months ending in July 2017 (rolling year), they recorded an increase of 11,4% compared to the 12 months ending in July 2016. The increase has now been consolidated and constant for several months, settling on average above 10 % from month to month and from mobile year to mobile year: Italians are increasingly using debit cards, credit cards and online payments, including via mobile phones.
