The exhibition projects, promoted and realized by the Artea Foundation, offer an original and complementary journey, delving into lesser-known aspects of the two authors' careers. Thanks to a close curatorial synergy, the two exhibitions are designed to interact with each other, offering the public a dual vision of fashion: for Scianna, intimate and anthropological story of life; for Newton, provocation and construction of the imagination.

The exhibition opens with a selection of the iconic images that established Newton as a master of fashion photography. His compositions—dreamlike, ambiguous, and provocative—render the visual power of an artist capable of transforming glossy photography into a theatrical and profoundly evocative language. His collaboration with models like Monica Bellucci, Nadja Auermann, Kate Moss, Carla Bruni ed Eva Herzigova, combined with the trust gained by stylists, riviste e international brands, allowed him to redefine the aesthetic and narrative canons of fashion photography.
Designed specifically for the spaces of the Filatoio, “Helmut Newton. Interweavings” represents a unique opportunity to admire together the photographic series that tell the story of the artist's progressive affirmation on the international scene. The exhibition is a project of the Artea Foundation, created in collaboration with the Municipality of Caraglio and edited by Matthias Harder, Director of Helmut Newton Foundation in Berlin.
The transition from editorial to commercial photography reveals Newton's eclecticism: his collaborations with large companies, including Lavazza, testify to the ability to maintain intact one's own radical and unmistakable style, even in the contexts of the clients.
