Greece: "450 million repaid to the IMF"

Greece has repaid the loan from the International Monetary Fund 450 million euro due today. A source at the Greek finance ministry told Bloomberg. Athens is now continuing to negotiate with Brussels the approval of a reform package that will have to unblock the new international aid, while other deadlines are approaching: Greece in fact must also pay 194 million euros to private bondholders on April 17, and another 80 million to the ECB on April 20.

"It is in everyone's interest to avoid a Greek exit from the euro." The Minister of Economy and Finance told Bloomberg, Pier Carlo Padoan, visiting Singapore, adding that progress is being made on Greece.
