Great football on TV, Sky attacks with Fox and Mediaset responds with Vodafone

It's open war on the offer of services to real football fans: Fox and Sky launch their blow, Mediaset counterattacks with Vodafone. Murdoch and his behemoth Sky-Fox provides, for its subscribers, a football season with a potential of 2.900 matches. The channel that will start on the 205 button (Fox Sports) from August has in store not only the Italian and German Serie A but also – and this is the absolute novelty – the Spanish, French and English ones (plus the FA Cup). The 82-year-old Australian managed to wrest Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 away from Al Jazeera. The interface of the new channel will be the multichannel interactive window, through which the subscriber will be able to choose which game to watch.

The counter-offensive by Mediaset was not long in coming. Il Biscione, with the help of Vodafone, has launched a promotion (“Premium Everywhere”) which offers users the best of TV content and Serie A and Serie B football. Consumers will be able to enjoy these contents on their home television or tablet via the fast Vodafone network.
