Entrepreneur and philanthropist Marino Golinelli is preparing to celebrate his entry into a very important year for him. 2020 is in fact the centenary year of his birth. With his wife Paola Pavirani, alongside him in many philanthropic actions, he launched the "Marino punto Cento" program for the occasion, which will subsidize many cultural and social initiatives distributed throughout the year.
The beginning is an important support (a donation of over 100.000 euros) to the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, which already counts it among its major supporters. The contribution goes in particular to the opera Tristan und Isolde which opens the season and, on the occasion of the premiere on 24 January, the Golinelli couple will offer the approximately 1000 present a toast during the first two intervals.
Furthermore, thanks to the contribution of the "Marino punto Cento" program, about 800 people belonging to non-profit associations in Bologna will be able to attend the two general rehearsals on Monday 21 and Tuesday 22 January free of charge, the day on which the rehearsal will also be open to secondary school students. On 20 January, however, Opificio Golinelli offers a moment of reflection entitled “Anticipating the future. Tristan and Isolde and the revolution of musical language". The event, with free admission, will range between the past and the future, between art and science, narrating Wagner's work and its peculiar relationship with the city of Bologna through the voices of illustrious experts in the world of music and culture, from Rector to the President of the Museum System of the University of Bologna, from the President of the Golinelli Foundation Andrea Zanotti to the musicologist Giorgio Pestelli, up to the superintendent of the Teatro Comunale Fulvio Macciardi, to whom Marino Golinelli is bound by deep esteem and friendship.
But the "Marino punto Cento" program is also aimed at the less fortunate. Starting from 24 January, through Father Domenico Vittorini, Prior of the Oratory of Santa Cecilia, 100 meals for 100 days will be provided to the needy who go to his structure every day to receive a hot meal. Support for the younger generations through the activities of the Golinelli Foundation certainly could not be missing. Among other projects, in 2020 the Golinellis will make available over 200 scholarships for the well-established summer schools on life sciences aimed at deserving students. In the coming weeks, the complete investment program of the "Marino punto Cento" program will be announced in detail a further donation of another 150.000 euros in favor of carrying out various Golinelli Foundation projects, also in collaboration with other cultural and research third sector realities, which will thus give hundreds of boys and girls the opportunity to access excellent educational and training activities.
