Go internet and Linkem sign a frequency sharing agreement

The Board of Directors of GO internet, a company listed on the AIM Italia market, today approved the signing of an agreement with Linkem frequency sharing, as well as an investment contract for the entry of the latter into the capital of the Company.

The agreement is subject to the approval of the competent Authorities and to the completion of Linkem's investment operation in the Company referred to in the Investment Contract.

The Agreement of frequency sharing aims to allow the two companies to share their respective frequency spectrum, with the primary aim of transforming the current portion of the GO internet Wimax network in the Marche and Emilia Romagna regions into a 5G ready commercial network, capable of offering performance comparable to the fixed broadband.

At the moment, both companies operate in the 3.5 GHz band - albeit on different spectrum ranges - under the rights of use that the MISE has assigned them. The frequency sharing it will also make it possible to improve the connection services offered via the 4.5G Lte and 4G Lte protocols, thanks to the availability of more spectrum in areas with high commercial success and thus realizing the objective of fully and efficiently using the frequencies , benefiting thousands of users. By sharing the spectrum, companies will be able to implement a network in the Marche and Emilia Romagna regions overlay to facilitate the migration to 5G technology.

At the same time, the board of directors of GO internet approved the signing of an investment contract with Linkem under which Linkem undertook to subscribe to a capital increase of GO internet, with the exclusion of the option right, by 15 June 2018 , for a total maximum value of approximately 4 million euro and a maximum price of 1,4 euro per share. Upon completion of the full subscription of this capital increase, Linkem will have a share not exceeding 21,23% of the share capital of GO internet.
