Business confidence in Germany improved beyond expectations in January. He reveals it the Ifo index released this morning, which stands at 106,7 points, up from 105,5 in December.
This is the best result of the last six months, even higher than the average estimates of analysts, who had forecast a more limited increase, at 106,3 points.
“The German economy has started the year well and manufacturing companies are expecting a major boost from the exports”, reads the ifo note.
