Germany, industrial production down: -2,6%

The decline in industrial production in Germany continues: analysts expected a stable trend compared to the month of October, but the drop is well below expectations, with a drop of 2,6%.

Germany, industrial production down: -2,6%

Cala still industrial production in Germany: in the month of October the decline amounted to 2,6 percent compared to September, when the slowdown in the manufacturing sector had already recorded a decrease, compared to the month of August, equal to 1,3%.

This was announced this morning by the German Ministry of the Economy.

Berlin therefore proves to be increasingly vulnerable to the slowdown of the continental economy, and sensitive to the bearish expectations that dominate the markets.

The figure adds to the downward forecast on the continental economy released yesterday by the President of the ECB, Mario Draghi, who adjusted the expected trend from an average value of +0,3% to -0,5% in 2013.

The dynamics of industrial production is in any case much worse than that expected by analysts, who on average estimated a stable result, all the more so after the encouraging signals received yesterday from orders.
