Generali, Roman meeting positive Perissinotto-Kostin: step forward for the joint with the Russian Vtb

The alliance project between Generali and the second largest Russian bank (Vtb) has taken another important step forward and everything suggests that it will reach its goal in the coming months. Yesterday morning in Rome, the CEO of the Lion of Trieste, Giovanni Perissinotto met the president of Vtb, Andrej Kostin and defined with him the main lines of the industrial plan of the joint. For now, the agreement is of an industrial nature even if further developments cannot be ruled out for the future, following the repeated requests of the Russians to strengthen their stake in the capital of the Italian insurance company. If the agreement goes through definitively, Generali will enter the Russian insurance policy market in full force, both by using VTB branches and by imagining innovative sales formulas thanks to the Internet and new technologies. For Perissinotto it would also be a personal success and the confirmation that the scheme already tested with the Czech PPF and aimed at paving the way for Leone in the Eastern markets with the help of an important local partner is successful and can guarantee important results.
