€42 million from Cdp, Sace and Bnl-Bnp Paribas for the international development of Ghella

Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP), SACE and BNL-BNP Paribas have finalized a € 42 million credit line intended for the development of the international activities of the Roman construction company Ghella.

The six-year credit line consists of one slice of € 30 million disbursed by CDP and fully guaranteed by SACE, and one of € 12 million disbursed by BNL. There slice CDP-SACE represents the first "internationalization" operation of the Export Bank system, i.e. the first loan granted to an Italian company for development activities in foreign markets, and is part of the ceiling from € 4 billion associated with the agreement.

The loan package is intended to support the Ghella Group in the acquisition and execution of orders abroad, which represent the core business of society. In particular, the credit line will allow the Italian construction group to:

§ participate in international tenders, not only in countries where the company has historically operated (mainly in Latin America), but also in new markets such as the Middle East, Eastern Europe and Australia

§ ininvest in machinery and infrastructure for the execution of foreign contracts in the portfolio; among the main ones, those relating to an aqueduct and a motorway project in the Dominican Republic, the extension of the Athens underground to Piraeus and two important infrastructure projects in Argentina.

The complete press release is attached.
