Frecciarossa 1000: debut on 14 June. Rome-Milan in 2 hours and 20 minutes

Rome-Milan in 2 hours and 20 minutes with the Frecciarossa 1000. The new train, which will debut on June 14, will reach 350 km per hour (50 km more than now), with a maximum speed of 400 km per hour. 8 daily connections, with extensions to Turin and Naples.

Countdown to the Frecciarossa 1000 the new super-fast train of Ferrovie dello Stato which will connect Rome to Milan in 2 hours and 20 minutes, running at 350 km per hour, 50 km more than now. The debut is scheduled for June 14th with 8 trips a day and extensions to Naples and Turin. 

It is the flagship of Trenitalia, in which the company has invested 1,6 billion euros, a train capable of reaching  400 Km / h speed with 450 seats divided into four classes. 

There are currently six active Frecciarossa 1000s, by December they will become eighteen/twenty, thanks to the continuation of deliveries by AnsaldoBreda and Bombardier, whose completion is scheduled for 2017.

The aim is to progressively replace the current trains and make travel between the two main Italian cities easier and faster. With a maximum speed of 350 km/h, the new train will in fact be able to reduce journey times a 2 hours and minutes 20 compared to the current 2 hours and 55 minutes.
