Francesco Caio new coordinator of the Digital Agenda

Prime Minister Enrico Letta has chosen Francesco Caio as coordinator of the e-government programme. The head of government himself made it known via Twitter, specifying that the Digital Agenda is "a mission to which we want to give maximum impetus".

Caio should therefore be the contact person of Palazzo Chigi for theDigital Agenda, a project redefined by the development-bis decree (Legislative Decree 179/2012) but which is struggling to start. In this way, an attempt would be made to solve the problem of overlapping roles, because four ministries are involved in the digital package: Economy, Public Administration, Development and Education.

Caio, among other positions, was CEO of Olivetti, Omnitel, Merloni appliances and the Avio group.
