Provide immediate help to Ukrainian people. With this aim the Tim Foundation, chaired by Salvatore Rossi and led by the general manager, Giorgia Floriani, resolved a donation $ 2 million (approximately 1,9 million euros) in favor of the program ofWorld Health Organization (WHO) “People's Health Movement” for the health of migrants and refugees. In the process that led to this decision, discussions with Santino Severoni, Director of the Program at the WHO headquarters in Geneva, were fundamental.

Tim Foundation and WHO in support of Ukraine: the programme

In particular, according to a note, the program provides for the coordination of the global health response to thesanitary emergency connected with the conflict in Ukraine and sees the participation of European Member States, United Nations agencies, the Red Cross and numerous non-profit organizations. The goal is to provide support to the health systems of all neighboring countries to manage the flows of the population affected by the war, to guarantee Covid-19 tests and vaccinations for refugees, as well as the most appropriate medical care.

"Tim Foundation has quickly become ready to give its support to an Organization that is always on the front line in emergency health protection situations, which wants to be an immediate support and also a medium-long term aid to an already fragile reality", he said Florians.
