Nicola Trussardi Foundation: Let's talk above

Sunday 27 October, 10 and 17 November 2013, the Nicola Trussardi Foundation presents Parliamoci scopa, three days of special visits, conceived by Unduetrestella, dedicated to children at the Fault Lines exhibition at Palazzo Cusani.

Nicola Trussardi Foundation: Let's talk above

There will be two appointments scheduled during each of the three days: at 11.00 and 16.00 children aged six will be led to discover the kaleidoscopic world of Allora & Calzadilla through itineraries and activities designed for them.

Let's talk about it is a listening and sound production laboratory, designed to help children understand the deep bond that exists between human beings, sound, music, emotions and relationships. The children are accompanied on a path of approaching the exhibited works which passes through the physical and sound presences of the artists' performances and videos, helping them to be enveloped and transported by the emotions and sensations that the actions and sounds trigger in them. Their spontaneous reactions, their personal interpretations, the sensations evoked, the suggested images are captured and fixed with a tape recorder. And especially their questions. Children are thus called to be active and participating spectators, and to use all their extraordinary ability to see beyond form, listen beyond sound. At the end of the workshops their words and their sounds are kept and listened to again: not so much to collect answers as to collect words, voices, exclamations that tell of their way of seeing, interpreting and living the experience of the work of art.

The children are thus transformed into little art critics, invited to listen within themselves to the reactions they experience during the exhibition. In front of the colorful music box of Then & Calzadilla, made up of frenzied trumpeters, pianists trapped in their musical instruments, sopranos and tenors locked up in large polyurethane cocoons, dancers who march turning into doors, the children are called to talk about what they see but above all what they hear, to express their thoughts, to tell the stories that are hidden behind the objects and characters they come across.

Parliamoci sopra offers three days conceived by Unduetrestella and organized by the Nicola Trussardi Foundation on the occasion of the Fault Lines exhibition at Palazzo Cusani, the first solo show in an Italian institution by American artists Allora & Calzadilla.

Unduetrestella is a curatorial project of contemporary art for children born in 2009, which has active collaborations, among others, with the Museo del Novecento in Milan.

Participation in Parliamoci sopra is free, with reservations required.
