La
Golinelli Foundation exhibits a selection of works from the Marino and Paola Golinelli collection at the
Golinelli factory of Bologna (via Paolo Nanni Costa, 14). The exhibition itinerary can be visited accompanied by tutors from the Foundation on Thursday 18 February and Thursday 17 March (15,16 pm, 17 pm, ticket 2 euro).
On display in the nine thousand square meters of the citadel for knowledge and culture eight works by internationally renowned artists: Loris Cecchini, Alberto Di Fabio, Andrey Gorbunov, Candida Hofer, Joep Van Lieshout, Marcello Maloberti, Lucy and Jorge Orta, Cameron Platter . The works on display, chosen from around 600 works, restore the unique character of the Golinelli collection, focused on the search for points of contact between the scientific and artistic vision of the contemporary world and on the opening up to art of emerging, Asian, African and South Americans.
A journey through works all created in the last decade, consistent with the multidisciplinary and didactic approach to art that the Foundation proposes through the activities of the "Art, Science and Knowledge" project area, above all through the major exhibitions held annually, starting in 2010.
The exhibitions of the Golinelli Foundation, curated by Giovanni Carrada and Cristiana Perrella, have developed a format, unprecedented in Italy, which brings together the results of the most recent scientific research with the works of contemporary artists, chosen for their ability to clarify, through the their visual evidence, complex concepts, or to arouse emotions capable of transmitting, compared to science, a different type of knowledge and understanding
