The course is in its first edition and will be directed by Andrea Bonaccorsi, full professor of management engineering at the University of Pisa and expert in the economics of science and innovation – It starts on 9 July: here's how to register.

Golinelli Foundation: the "Entrepreneurship in humanities" summer school is underway

To support students and scholars of humanities background in identifying new entrepreneurial opportunities with a highly innovative profile, promoting the acquisition of interdisciplinary skills deriving from the union between the humanistic tradition and the sociological, technological and economic disciplines, communication and marketing. It was born with this aim Summer School: Entrepreneurship in humanities, promoted by the Golinelli Foundation with the scientific direction of Andrea Bonaccorsi, Full Professor of Management Engineering at the University of Pisa and expert in the economics of science and innovation. The first edition of the school takes place in Bologna from 9 to 2 July 2018 in the new Golinelli Arts and Sciences Center (via Paolo Nanni Costa 14).

Thanks to the support of the Golinelli Foundation, the 2018 edition of Summer School Entrepreneurship in humanities it's free. 

WHAT IS THAT

A two-week full-time course that activates a creative process in which the humanistic tradition confronts sociology, business economics and new digital technologies in a dialogue that uses different languages, themes and tools, in order to encourage the development of new business ideas. The school aims to stimulate participants to explore new perspectives, to understand the opportunities offered by new digital technologies to develop innovative entrepreneurial models and implement them successfully in the long term.

PROGRAM

Each day is divided into two parts, one of frontal lesson and one of laboratory.
The first week is focused on the humanistic tradition, the innovations connected to it, the contents and their potential for digital expansion; the lecture part will explore the main humanistic assets such as object, image, text, memory and myth. The laboratory will instead be dedicated to group exercises that will connect the topics explored in the morning with the digital technologies connected to them.
The second week will no longer focus on "contents" and "expanding potential", but on "recipients". The activities are centered on the analysis of potential users, on the exploration of their social and purchasing behavior with respect to business ideas, marketing and communication.

FOR WHO

Under 35, master's students and graduates (for no more than 3 years), doctoral students and research doctorates (or equivalent foreign qualifications) in humanities. The commission reserves the right to consider applications from non-humanistic profiles on condition that these pertain to entrepreneurial projects with a highly innovative content connected to the humanistic world.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

Candidates can fill out the appropriate form (Google Form) with their data, updated CV and motivational letter. The selection takes place on the basis of the consistency between the information entered in the form and the aims of the training course. The commission reserves the right to organize interviews via the web.
