In view of the 730 pre-compiled 2017, taxpayers who have to communicate health expenses to the tax authorities have until February 9 to send the data to the Health Card System. This was confirmed by the Agenzia delle Entrate, explaining that “pending the formalization of the extension, operators are given the possibility of having 9 more days to send them with respect to the deadline of 31 January. This extension will have no impact on the calendar of the 2017 declaration campaign".
Subjects required to transmit health expenses, whose audience has increased as it includes, compared to last year, authorized and non-accredited facilities, psychologists, nurses, midwives, parapharmacies, medical radiology technicians and opticians , will have more time to send the data relating to the aforementioned expenses for 2016.
The extension of the deadline from 31 January to 9 February meets the requests of the categories required to send data for the first year and the need to provide taxpayers with a pre-filled 730 with a greater number of medical expenses. The extension of the term refers to the transmission of all health care expenses incurred in 2016 by all subjects bound by this obligation. The extension obviously also concerns veterinarians, who from this year are required to send data relating to veterinary expenses to the Health Card System.
Furthermore, in compliance with the privacy protection system, the deadline within which taxpayers will be able to notify the Revenue Agency of their refusal to use the health care expenses incurred in 9 for the purpose of processing the 2016 pre-compiled 730.
Those who wish to exercise the right to object can then send the form directly to the Agency until 31 January 2017 or access the authenticated area of the Healthcare Card System website directly from 10 February to 9 March 2017 (www.sistemats.it) through the health card or the Fisconline credentials issued by the Agency.
