Ansaldo Sts, a Finmeccanica group company, has been awarded a contract worth 680 million dollars in Saudi Arabia for the construction of the longest line of the new Riyadh metro, as part of the ArRiyadh New Mobility (ANM) consortium. The contract includes an option for the next 10 years of maintenance for an additional $249 million.
The winning consortium, organized by Ansaldo Sts, also includes Salini-Impregilo, Larsen & Toubro, Nesma, for civil works and Bombardier, for the supply of vehicles. The Fimeccanica subsidiary takes care of the technological part. The total value of the order is approximately 6 billion dollars.
At the opening in Piazza Affari, the Ansaldo Sts share gains 1,7%, achieving the best rise of the Ftse Mib.
