The week of the European markets closes on positive ground. In Milan, the Ftse Mib index rose by 0,47% but remained below 20.000 at 19.969. The London Stock Exchange rises by 0,20%, Paris +0,19%, Frankfurt +0,26%. Madrid +0,11%. On the government bond market, the situation is calm: the yield on the ten-year BTP is stable at 3,83%, the spread with the Bund unchanged at 206.

In the City, positive retail sales data offset Shell's profit warning. Uncertain session for the US stock market on the wave of quarterly data: the declines of Intel -3,6% and General Electric -2,6% contrast with the progress of American Express +6% and Morgan Stanley +4%, despite the heavy legal fees.  

Around 17 pm in Italy, the Dow Jones gains 0,2%, the S&P 500 loses 0,15%, the Nasdaq -0,2%. On the government bond market, the situation is calm: the yield on the ten-year BTP is stable at 3,83%, the spread with the Bund unchanged at 206. The week closes under the banner of Fiat +3,55% followed by nh Industrial +1,51%. Exor +1,48%. In Europe, the automotive sector rose by 0,9% (Stoxx index of the sector).

Pirelli falls by 0,16%. Intel's decline in New York is reflected in StM -2,3%. Exane cut the recommendation to Neutral from Outperform. Good rise instead of Finmeccanica + 2,83%, after the declarations of Airbus interested in buying the Italian stake in Mbda, a missile company. Eni -0,06%. Among the oil companies, Saipem +3,52% and Tenaris +1,3% rose.

Banks and insurance companies offer a panorama full of contrasts: Intesa +0,62%, Unicredit -0,92%, Monte Paschi -0,09%. The supervisory board of Banca Popolare Milano -0,06% which today should decide on the appointment of Giuseppe Castagna as managing director, was reconvened at 19 pm, while the manager's remuneration is being discussed. 

Generali gains 0,18%. Goldman Sachs has set a new target price of 18,3 euros (rating neutral). The investment bank focuses on Axa, Prudential and St James's Place which offer the highest returns. UnipolSai -0,34%. The luxury stocks are positive: Ferragamo +1,58%, Cucinelli +2%. Some flashes between the mid caps: Rcs +6,6%, Interpump +5% to the new all-time high. Italcementi +3,5%.
