FCA France states that it "has collaborated in the investigation by the French authorities into the Dieselgate case, adding that it will "continue to do so in the future". This, "in response to some reports in the French press according to which FCA has not cooperated with the French administrative authority in examining some of its diesel vehicles" on which the transalpine division says it is confident that they will be clarified "in due course" . In detail, "Fca is currently collaborating with the Judicial Authority regarding this specific investigation".

The French subsidiary, through a note, let it be known that "it is unable to comment further since it has not yet had access to the file and the facts of the investigation and is waiting to have the opportunity to respond to these objections, if they are raised, and he is confident – concludes FCA France – that the matter will be clarified in due time”.

The clarification, as previously mentioned, comes following an article published by the French newspaper in which it is reported that, in addition to being investigated for having deceived the buyers of Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Jeep and Lancia vehicles for manipulating emissions, the Detroit house would also be targeted by the French authorities for having obstructed the investigation.
