Start of the week with reduced trading but with a plus sign awaiting Thursday's meetings of the ECB and Opec. The Ftse Mib closed up by 0,58%, consolidating positions above 18 thousand points, better than the other main European squares. Paris rises by 0,32%, Frankfurt by 0,46%. Wall Street closed for Memorial Day and London for the Bank Holiday.

Lists benefited from German inflation which rose by 0,3% in May and by 0,1% on an annual basis (preliminary data). Attention was then paid to today's other macro data from the Eurozone. In May, the European Commission's BCI index which measures business confidence rose by 0,11 points to +0,26 points. France's first-quarter GDP rose 0,6% quarter on quarter, better than the previous estimate of 0,5%. Conversely, Spanish consumer prices were disappointing, down in May by 0,6% on a monthly basis and by 1% on an annual basis. Among the macroeconomic data to monitor, the US employment numbers expected for Friday. WTI Oil closed slightly higher at 49,47 dollars a barrel (+0,28%). Brent is also under $50. Markets are eyeing the June 2 OPEC meeting in Vienna. The euro-dollar exchange rate is at 1,113465 (+0,18%)

In Italy today the Treasury has assigned five-year BTPs for 2,5 billion with a yield down by 0,4%, ten-year BTPs for 3 billion and a yield down to 1,42% and CcTeu for 2 billion with a yield at 0,53%.

At Piazza Affari, purchases reward FCA +2,81% in a positive European climate for the sector and after analysts estimated a limited impact from the recent recalls announced by the company. Also highlighted are A2a +2,48%, Poste Italiane +2,15% on the eve of the council of ministers which could have on the table the placement project for a second tranche of Treasury shares, Mps +1,99% in the wake of a possible strengthening of the Atlante fund, Azimut +1.97% after Bank of Italy's approval of the reorganization and the go-ahead for the 1 euro dividend in the fourth quarter.

Banca Carige +1,64% on the day in which the Board of Directors meeting is held on the industrial plan which will be sent to the ECB tomorrow.

At the bottom of the Ftse Mib Leonardo-Finmeccanica (-1,5%), blacklisted by the Government of India. Sales also on Ubi -0,63%, Telecom Italia -0,57%, Unipol -0,35% and Cnh -0,32%.

Rcs -1,63% to 0,7535. From the prospectus, approved on Saturday evening by Consob, it emerges that the paper-on-paper offer will start on 13 June and will end on 8 July.
