Euroland on the upswing. Industrial production recorded in February an increase of 0,5%, after the stagnation highlighted in January. The data, communicated by the Institute of Statistics of the European Union (Eurostat), is higher than market expectations which were for a drop of 0,3%. On an annual basis, however, production shows a decrease of 1,8% compared to the -1,7% of the previous month.
The Europe of the 27 data showed a progress of 0,2% after the previous null change. Over the year, production recorded a decrease of 1,8%, compared to the previous -1,4%.
