In January, the Sentix index, elaborated by the German research institute of the same name, rose to 13,3 points from 11,85 in the previous month: the figure is higher than analysts' estimates.

Europe, consumer optimism is growing

The morale of European consumers is once again positive. In January, the Sentix index, developed by the German research institute of the same name, rose to 13,3 points from 11,85 the previous month. The figure is higher than analysts' estimates which indicated a level of 10,7 points.

The expectations sub-index improved, after the jump last month, going from +25,3 to +25,5 points, while the current sentiment sub-index went from -0,8 to +1,8.
