Photovoltaic is growing in Italy: over 10.000 MW of installed power throughout the country, with the support of the Conto Energia incentives managed by the GSE. It should be noted that around 2011 megawatts entered service in 6.500 alone.
At the end of this year, according to estimates, the total power in operation in Italy could reach 12.000 MW for a number of plants around 350.000. To date, in total, over 270 plants have come into operation. The primacy of installed power belongs to Puglia, with about 1.685 MW for 17.812 plants in operation, while Lombardy remains at the top of the ranking of the Regions with the highest number of plants in operation (38.810 for 993 MW), followed by Veneto, with 36.066 plants for 894 MW.
