Enel sells Slovakian subsidiary for 750 million

Enel sells the Slovakian subsidiary Slovenske Elektra rne. Yesterday the Italian group signed with Eph, Energeticky a Prmyslovy Holding, the contract relating to the sale of the stake held by Enel Produzione in Slovenske Elektra rne, equal to 66% of the share capital.

This was reported by a note from the electric group which says that the price will be 750 million. The sale will take place in two stages: in the first stage, the Italian group will sell 50% of the stake for a consideration of 375 million. In the second phase which will be completed, says Enel presumably within the first half of 2019, the second stake will be sold for a consideration of 375 million euros. The consideration “may vary based on the application of the adjustment mechanism described below”.

The completion of the second phase is conditional on obtaining the definitive permit for the operation of units 3 and 4 of the Mochovce power plant, Enel points out.
