Bloomberg Businessweek promotes Enel. In fact, the Italian company was included by the US magazine in the list of 50 global companies to keep an eye on in 2016, thanks to the increase in the Group's investments in high-growth markets, the Americas and Africa, which rose to 48 % in the business plan to 2019, to compensate for the drop in electricity demand in Europe. Enel is the only Italian company and the only electric utility on the list.

Within the list, published in Bloomberg Businessweek's The Year Ahead, are the fifty companies identified by Bloomberg Intelligence analysts as companies "facing challenging changes or positioned to make big gains in the year ahead."

The CEO of Enel is satisfied Francesco Starace: “We are proud that the Enel share has been reported by Bloomberg Businessweek for its high growth potential in the coming year. This is a significant recognition of Enel's strategy aimed at capitalizing on opportunities in all markets. In areas with emerging economies we are supporting sustainable progress through investments in clean energy and infrastructure development, while in more mature markets the focus is on digitalisation, through the implementation of Smart Grids and other innovative solutions".
