Enel Green Power sells all assets in Portugal for 900 million

Enel Green Power has concluded the sale of all its assets in Portugal for a total of 900 million euros. The transaction has a positive impact on net financial debt of 550 million, taking into account the effects of the consolidation of ENEOP-Eólicas de Portugal. The expected total capital gain is equal to 30 million euros.

In detail, Enel Green Power announced yesterday that its subsidiary Enel Green Power España (owned 60% by EGP and 40% by Endesa, Enel's Spanish subsidiary) has completed the sale of the entire share capital of Finerge Gestão de Projectos Energéticos, a company that manages wind farms in Portugal for a net installed capacity of 642 MW, equivalent to 863 MW of gross capacity. The buyer is the Portuguese company First State Wind Energy Investments.

The sale was finalized following the demerger of ENEOP-Eólicas de Portugal, SA (“ENEOP”), a company that owned an operating portfolio of wind farms, with a total installed capacity of 1.333 MW, in which Finerge Gestão held a stake of 35,96% of the share capital. As a result of the demerger, Finerge Gestão consolidated six wind farms for a total installed capacity of 445 MW. This capacity adds to Finerge Gestão's asset portfolio already including majority and minority shareholdings, equivalent to a net installed capacity of approximately 197 MW (equal to 418 MW of gross capacity).”
