The group's total installed capacity in the country thus rises to 191 MW. The photovoltaic field has a total capacity of 4,9 MW and will generate about 7 million kilowatt hours per year, useful for meeting the energy needs of about 1.700 families and avoiding the emission of almost 7.600 tons of C02 per year.

Enel Green Power inaugurates the first photovoltaic plant in Greece

Enel Green Power today activated its first photovoltaic plant in Greece, in the region of Ilia (Peloponnese).

However, Enel Green Power already had an excellent presence in Greece in the renewable energy sector. In particular, there are numerous wind farms, with a total capacity of 177 MW, located in Thrace, Macedonia, the Peloponnese, the islands of Evia, Crete and the Dodecanese. Mini-hydros are also active in central and western Greece and in Thessaly, with a total capacity of 14 MW.
