Enel Americas has been awarded as the best company in Chile, as it announced today ALAS20, an initiative aimed at recognizing companies and institutions that have demonstrated excellence in Sustainability and Responsible Investment in South American countries, such as Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico e Perù.
ALAS20 is the biggest recognition a company can strive for in Latin America, as it is only awarded to one per country. The winner is selected on the basis of a technical evaluation process made by Vigeo Eiris. Only companies that obtain a place on the podium can access this recognition, according to the following categories: Leading company in corporate governance, Leading company in sustainability e Leading investor relations firm.
As stated by the same Maurizio Bezzeccheri, general manager of Enel Américas and director of the Enel group for Latin America: “We are proud to receive this award because it is important that the market recognizes that sustainability is an integral part of our business. For Enel Américas, sustainability means, among other things, creating value for our shareholders and all our stakeholders".
