AC Milan's marriage to the Dubai airline, which expired in 2015, has been extended for a further five years at a single figure which, according to Barbara Berlusconi, will be useful for balancing the budget but "will also lend a hand to the transfer market".

Fresh money, to be used also for the market, is about to arrive at Milan, after the agreement with Emirates for the renewal of the sponsorship contract which expired in 2015. The marriage with the Dubai airline continues until 2020, therefore, and for the Rossoneri company they are sure income useful at least for a balanced budget and, according to the words of Barbara Berlusconi, not only for that.

"It's an important day for us and also for Italian football," said thecommercial director of Milan in a joint conference with Timothy Clark, CEO of the airline – We are very happy, it is a good sign for our country too. I have been to the Emirates three times and I have seen from inside how this great company works. During the negotiation there were also moments of discussion, but the desire to confirm this partnership has never been lacking".

Lady B does not confirm the numbers of the agreement (“Out of respect for privacy”), but explains what the money that will enter the club's coffers will be used for over the next five years: “We are a solid club and an international brand. This agreement will certainly help the market as well. Of course there is a fixed part and a variable (18+2 bonus, ed) as in all these types of contracts. If Milan obtain important results, they will be able to access more resources”. What results?
