Construction, Ance: 669 jobs lost since the beginning of the crisis

669 thousand jobs lost. It is the impressive budget of the construction sector from the beginning of the crisis to the whole of 2012, compiled by ANCE, the National Association of Building Builders: “Since the beginning of the crisis, 446 jobs have been lost, which with related sectors rises to 669. Like the entire population of Palermo”.

According to the ANCE report, 2012 was "the blackest year ever for the sector". Bankrupt companies have reached 11.177, but the whole supply chain is collapsing, with a 22,6% drop in cement deliveries and a 19% drop in wood turnover. An alarm, that of the National Association of Building Builders, which is partially reflected in the numbers published today by Eurostat, which indicate a cyclical recovery in construction activity, but also its continued downward trend.
