New job cuts at Electricité de France, which according to union sources intends to proceed with a 6 percent reduction in the workforce, equal to 3.900 jobs but "without any layoffs". The reorganization should take place between this year and 2019 through early retirement and early retirement incentives.
The reduction comes after the one already made last year on 2.000 jobs at EDF, with which the overall cuts will rise to 5.900 jobs over four years. At the end of 2016, the group had 65.300 employees.
