The world's most popular online auction site ended the second quarter with net income more than doubling to $692 million versus $283 million in the same period last year.

Ebay's revenues are flying, the world's most popular online auction site, founded in San José, California in 1995. The company closed the second quarter with a net income more than doubled to $692 million versus $283 million in the same period last year. 

Revenues increased 23% to $3,4 billion. The results were driven by the good performance of Ebay, which experienced an increase in registered active accounts of 13% to 113,2 million.
