Teachers: free course for remote lessons from WeSchool-Unicredit

The free WeSchool course developed together with Unicredit, the Snam Foundation and the Golinelli Foundation is called Digital Teachers (remotely). The aim is to lend a hand to the thousands of teachers who are trying to teach their students these days using the opportunities afforded by digital, despite the restrictions imposed by the government due to the coronavirus pandemic that is afflicting the whole world. Schools have been closed since March 5 and it seems increasingly likely that the reopening will continue to slip. For this reason teachers are trying to organize themselves to keep their students' learning going.

The WeSchool course consists of video lessons, guides and practical tutorials on organizing teaching activities and also provides information on the apps Prezi, Canva, Powton, Zoom, etc.) and the best free software for creating lessons.

"Digital Teachers (remote) will reach 5000 Italian teachers with the aim of quickly providing all the tools necessary to continue normal teaching activities in compliance with the indications provided by the MIUR and to propose new methodologies and best practices that can be exploited with profit both in this critical phase and when we return to the classroom,” explains WeSchool in a note. The course will also allow teachers to acquire a basic understanding of some of the main non-traditional teaching methodologies for secondary school, such as Inquiry Based Learning and self-assessment.

The "lessons" will last 4 weeks and at the end an assessment of the acquired skills will be carried out, the results of which will be made public.
