Tim is ready to launch on the market Tim Safe Web a high-security service platform developed in collaboration with Cisco, designed to protect small and medium-sized businesses from cyber threats such as ransomware, phishing and other malicious activities.
The service, the two groups explained in a joint note, revolves around the use of the cloud security platform cisco umbrella, which is progressively updated by leveraging the global threat intelligence database provided by Cisco, integrating them with Tim's technologies and threat intelligence. This enhancement of network services will be offered to approximately 600 business customers.
The collaboration presented on Monday also provides for anti-phishing protection and malware containment measures, which will be integrated into the Tim network without the need to install specific hardware at client companies or software on their devices.
The protection will be active on all systems connected to the customer's local network and provides for the application of security policies at the DNS (Domain Name Server) level, thus allowing requests for dangerous IP addresses to be blocked before the connection. Cisco Umbrella analyzes more than 125 billion DNS requests per day in 160 countries worldwide and proactively blocks many of the malicious destination requests offering safe browsing to end users.
