Just one week after the official announcement of the recapitalization, Credit Suisse has priced the first of the two capital increases, approved in order to improve the capital position of the Swiss group.
Credit Suisse will place 58 million new shares from qualified investors at a price of CHF 22,75. According to forecasts, the gross proceeds should settle at around 1,32 billion francs.
The purchase price is approximately 8% below the stock's closing price prior to October 21, ie before Credit Suisse announced its recapitalization and corporate restructuring plan.
We remind you that there are two planned capital increases. After the first one, in fact, the Swiss bank will proceed with a second recapitalisation reserved for pre-existing shareholders of 4,7 billion francs.
