The Lombardy Pharmaceutical Chemistry Association of Pharmacy Owners (“Federfarma Milano”) and UBI Banca have signed a memorandum of understanding that will open the doors of corporate welfare to around 1.000 member pharmacies and their over 5.000 employees. Federfarma Milano is the first association representing private pharmacies affiliated with the National Health Service – adhering to Federfarma – to sign an agreement on corporate welfare with UBI Banca. UBI Banca, in turn, is the first Italian banking institution to enter the corporate welfare sector, with a vision that arises from its being a local bank attentive to the needs of its communities.
Thanks to the "UBI Welfare Network", Federfarma Milano has a tool at its disposal that allows smaller companies to launch complete corporate welfare programmes. Access to the platform is simple (via PC, tablet and smartphone) and involves reduced costs, thanks to the economies of scale of the members' network and the support provided directly by the association. “By signing this protocol, pharmacies begin an innovative path in the world of corporate welfare.” explains Annarosa Racca President of Federfarma Lombardia. “it is an opportunity for the thousands of employees of the pharmacies in the provinces of Milan, Lodi and Monza Brianza.”
"Today's signing is testimony to how much pharmacy owners consider collaborators an indispensable resource for their companies" explains Giampiero Toselli, Secretary of Federfarma Milan. “With the UBI Welfare Network platform, pharmacies will be able to provide performance or year-end bonuses in a simple, effective way and above all in more economically advantageous ways than traditional ones. The prizes will be fully usable by collaborators to obtain services, e.g. school, healthcare, but also gyms, travel and much more. This is also a long-term project with which, in a subsequent step, pharmacies will be able to offer themselves as service providers to users of the platform".
The collaboration process that has started today with Federfarma Milano bears witness to UBI Banca's attention to people's needs. The protocol will also open the doors of welfare to the world of Lombard pharmacies which may be interested in developing quality programs for their employees”, says Rossella Leidi, Deputy General Manager and Chief Wealth and Welfare Officer of UBI Banca. “This partnership will make it possible to enhance the territory even more and to strengthen the proximity and service ecosystem that allows for the creation of a real network of well-being for workers and their families. The signing of this protocol lays the foundations for launching a process that will allow access to full-outsourcing corporate welfare solutions also to the pharmacy sector, making available the necessary consultancy, assistance and support services provided by UBI Banca. Also thanks to the availability of quality services in the area - the "zero kilometer" of local economic development - it will be possible to concretely satisfy personal and family needs, with particular reference to services that can affect the quality of life: healthcare, pensions, support income, education, free time, culture, purchase of goods and services, family care. In this context, pharmacies can play a fundamental role, with an ever-increasing ability to spread the culture of prevention and health protection, promoting widespread and highly professional services.
