From 1 January 2016, the d'Urso Gatti Pavesi Bianchi law firm will change its name, following the death of the lawyer Carlo d'Urso, to “Gatti Pavesi Bianchi”. The new denomination intends to confirm and strengthen the development project of an independent reality that is increasingly rooted and focused on M&A, the capital market sector, equity side and debt side, in all the preparatory and executive phases for the issue and placement of financial instruments;, private equity, restructuring e litigation.
Il rebranding follows the merger last July with the firm of lawyers Carlo Pavesi and Stefano Verzoni, and the subsequent entry of the lawyer Stefano Grassani (coming from the Pavia e Ansaldo firm), and is placed in a moment of growth of the new professional reality: only in first nine months of 2015, the law firm handled 23 mergers and acquisitions for a value of over 13 billion euro, qualifying itself as one of the main players in the sector. Among these transactions, the listing of Inwit, the transfer of control of Pirelli, the joint venture between IntesaSanpaolo, Unicredit and KKR, the merger between Yoox and Net-A-Porter, the capital increase of Banca Carige and the transfer of control by ICBPI.
