Fight without quarter al coronavirus and, as far as possible, everyone at home. The strict security measures, already in force for Lombardy and part of Veneto and Emilia-Romagna, they extend immediately and at least throughout the month of March to all of Italy. The Government decided by decree after a quick consultation with the opposition forces, who unanimously declared themselves in favor of all the necessary restrictive measures to defeat as quickly as possible the epidemic which continues to cause riots and infections.
The movements from one Municipality to another both by car and motorbike, on foot, by train and by plane will therefore be limited to the maximum, unless there are health or work reasons, on pain of incurring heavy penalties. To justify their movements, everyone will have to fill in a self-certification form which explains the reasons for its move. Gatherings and safety distances in public places are prohibited in every city or town. However, there are no restrictions for trams, metros and buses.
Schools of all levels and universities will remain closed until 3 April. Non-urgent judicial hearings have also been postponed.
Tight also for bars and restaurants, open yes but only until 18, and for cinemas, gyms, theaters and museumswhich must remain closed.
All sport stops, including football: no more matches therefore – not even behind closed doors – until April.
The Government has also announced that it will make other means available to support the Italian economy and in particular businesses and households to reduce the effects of the Coronavirus.

“Our habits need to change now: we must all give up something for the good of Italy: we must do it immediately and we will only succeed if we all collaborate and adapt to these more stringent rules. Our primary objective is to protect the health of all citizens, even to the detriment of other interests, albeit legitimate".
