The Confindustria Study Center estimates an increase in industrial production of 0,4% in November over October and of 0,5% compared to the same period of 2012. Orders are also growing, even if compared to the pre-crisis peak the level of activity remains 24,8% lower.

The Confindustria Study Center estimates an increase in industrial production of 0,4% in November over October; in October a change of +0,2% on the previous month was estimated.

Production, calculated net of the different number of working days, grew by 0,5% compared to November 2012 (first annual increase since August 2011); in October there was a drop of 1,4% on the same month of the previous year.

Volume orders in November recorded an increase of 0,5% over October and 1,0% over November 2012. In October they had increased by 0,8% over September and 1,9% over October 2012. XNUMX.

In the fourth quarter, the dynamics of industrial activity travels towards a positive variation which would be the first since the beginning of 2011. The quarterly variation acquired in November is +0,5%; the assessments of manufacturing entrepreneurs (according to the ISTAT survey on confidence) are favorable and confirm the significant improvements seen in previous months: the balance of assessments on production levels (-18 from -21 in October) improved for the seventh consecutive month ; that on total orders has been recovering since last May and rose to its highest level since August 2011 (-25 from -27). Assessments on domestic orders improved (balance to -38 from -42), against a stability of those on foreign orders. Expectations for three months of production and orders are also more positive.

Compared to the pre-crisis peak (April 2008), the level of activity remains 24,8% lower.
