Fostering innovation, energy efficiency, sustainability and digitization processes with the aim of increase the competitiveness of the agricultural sector is the objective of the agreement signed by Enel and Confagricoltura.

By signing the agreement, the two bodies demonstrate their willingness to identify possible options synergies between the energy and agricultural sectors and produce economic, social and environmental benefits.

"The agreement demonstrates Enel's sustainable approach and attention to the customer through the identification of innovative solutions capable of satisfying and anticipating their needs. The agricultural sector represents an excellence recognized throughout the world for our country and the collaboration with Confagricoltura will allow us to further improve the quality of the services we offer to companies in the sector" he commented Charles Drums, Director of Enel Italy.

The agreement provides for the establishment of a technical table dedicated to the quality of the electricity service for the analysis of the needs of the companies, a program of training meetings to improve the safety conditions during the performance of agricultural activities near grid plants as reported by the official note.

I'm over 375.000 companies associated with Confagricoltura who will be able to benefit from a commercial and energy consultancy service that will accompany each phase of the contractual relations with the companies of the Enel Group.

"The agreement aims to help ensure member companies an adequate level of service quality, also through the supervision of emergency situations. And at the same time, thanks to the continuous monitoring of the needs of businesses, to strengthen the competitiveness of businesses and all the agri-food chains together with the sustainability of agricultural production" he explained Maximilian Giansanti, President of Confagricoltura.
