At 31 March the position net financial position of the group amounted to -157,4 million compared to -112,8 million as at 31 December 2014.

The prospects for 2015 of the De Benedetti family holding also speak of a return to profit for the entire year, "except for events of an extraordinary nature that cannot be foreseen at the moment".

“We have overcome a difficult phase in the group's history and have begun to lay the foundations for its relaunch – underlined Cir's managing director, Monica Mondardini, during her speech at the shareholders' meeting -. We have a portfolio of high quality industrial assets, albeit aware of the critical issues of some of the sectors in which we operate, a solid capital structure, and significant liquidity at the parent company level".

In this regard, Mondardini explained, “as far as the use of available resources is concerned, we deem it appropriate to investigate the potential of our current equity investment portfolio. Should we not find interesting opportunities to create value in the sectors in which our companies operate, we will evaluate any initiatives even outside the current perimeter of the Cir group".

Mondardini also today proposed the name of Laurent Hebenstreit for the position of managing director of Sogefi, the car components company of the Cir group.
