In the first nine months of 2013, the Cir group recorded a net profit of 10,7 million euro against the loss of 10 million recorded in the same period of 2012.
The budget was influenced by the final sentence of the Court of Cassation regarding the 'Lodo Mondadori' proceeding, which saw the final sentence of the counterparty Finivenst.
The group's revenues, exceeding 3,5 billion, were slightly down, while Ebitda before non-recurring items recorded a slight increase compared to 2012. The net financial position of the parent company Cir Spa as at 30 September 2013, following the judgment on the Lodo Mondadori was positive for 540 million.
However, the group explained that the company currently "does not expect significant uses of its liquidity in the short term". Any future use of the available resources "will be evaluated in the interest of the development of the group and of all Cir shareholders".
As regards the trend in the last part of 2013, probably "the evolution - explained the company - will follow the macroeconomic context, in particular the trend of the Italian economy, characterized by a persistent recession". In this context, "all the main operating subsidiaries of the group will continue the management efficiency actions without however renouncing the business development initiatives".
Meanwhile, in Piazza Affari, the Cir stock rose slightly at the beginning of the afternoon with a price per share of 1,22 euros.
