After second devaluation of the yuan in two days, not very reassuring news arrives from Beijing, even on the macroeconomic side. The Chinese government today announced that in July industrial production of the country grew by 6%, recording a drop of 0,8% on both a monthly and annual basis and disappointing the expectations of analysts, who had forecast an average increase of 6,4 percent.   

The government of China also communicated that - again in July - retail sales they rose 10,5% year-on-year, an unchanged reading from June but lower than the 10,6% consensus. The figure remains well below the average 12% recorded in the whole of 2014. 

Finally, the fixed investments they rose by 11,2% in the June-July period.
