Cerchiai (FeBAF): "A systemic alliance is needed for the recovery in the general interest"

“The crisis has not affected the solidity of the Italian financial system”. So Fabio Cerchiai, President of FeBAF (Federation of Banks, Insurance and Finance) in his speech at the 44th Credit Day held today in Rome. “Supervision has played a fundamental role in allowing the banking and insurance industry to face this crisis on solid foundations. There have been some 'dents' on profitability, but the sector is solid and is a guarantee for the country”.

For Cerchiai, what is needed now, in the perspective of a stable and lasting recovery, is "a great system alliance" between business representatives to present themselves together at the table of fundamental political choices". Moving on, underlined the president of the Federation to which Abi, Ania and Assogestioni belong, "from a logic of collaboration to one of cooperation and common action in the general interest".
