Atlantia board of directors: “Autostrade transfer yes, indemnification no”

Atlantia board of directors: “Autostrade transfer yes, indemnification no”

Now it's up to the Government to respond to the Benettons on the Autostrade case. The board of Atlantia, the holding company of the Venetian family that controls Autostrade, in fact reiterated yesterday that is willing to sell its controlling stake in the Autostradale company, but considers any sort of guarantee or indemnity on the past unacceptable. In other words: yes to the sale of Autostrade, but in the spirit of the mid-July agreement with the government, i.e. with a market operation that respects the rights of all shareholders (including minority shareholders) and without any privileges for CDP, for which, however, the doors of Autostrade remain open.

Perhaps we will see it already today how will Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte respond, who in recent days had taken over the hot dossier for himself by de facto commissioning the weak Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, but also threatening the revocation of the motorway concession.

Even yesterday the stock market, rewarding the title Atlantia (+1,8%) it seemed to believe in a final agreement between the Benettons and the Government, perhaps with a compromise on the price of the sale of Atlantia's stake in Autostrade, but the situation remains very uncertain and anything could still happen.
