The official has arrived. Giovanni Gorno Tempini was appointed chairman of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. The appointment by the group's board of directors came today, October 24, following the resignation presented by former chairman and former director Massimo Tononi.
“The Board of Directors, in thanking Dr. Tononi for the activity carried out in favor of CDP, has therefore proceeded, on the proposal of the shareholder foundations, to co-opt Giovanni Gorno Tempini, appointing him President”, reads the note from the CDP.
Gorno Tempini, number one of CDP from 2010 to 2015, was chosen by the Banking Foundations which, by statute, are responsible for designating the president of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti. As Written by FIRSTonline, his return to the board of directors of the group is also due to the support of the former president of Acri, Giuseppe Guzzetti, and of the former president of the CDP, Franco Bassanini, current president of Open Fiber.
The nomination of the new president will be submitted to theshareholders' meeting called for 5 and 7 November 2019respectively on first and second call.
